VM is working towards fostering the development of and access to fresh products to supplement the existing diet.  This initiative involves the sustainable development of organic farms or farming co-op within the villages that provide a source of food for those involved and a source of income from the sale of excess produce to help support the farms’ growth.  The goal is to empower the indigenous population towards self-sufficiency through generation of income as well as provision of resources through farming.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture Volunteer Morocco was able to bring experts to the villagers to help educate them in farming and raising of livestock.

VM volunteers help the farmers with clearing space and preparing the soil and building fences for a new small farm.

The goal of this farming project is to empower the indigenous population of Tildi Village through the creation of organic farms and farming co-ops. These farms will work towards creating a source of food for those involved and self-sufficiency through the generation of income from the sale of excess produce to support farming families and the growth of farm.
